What is it Like to live in a companion housing arrangement?

Many say companion housing is similar to living with family, except that you get to choose the people you live with. Your daily living habits should not change significantly, as you still have your independence and private space. Sharing common spaces means that you must be considerate of the other people in your home.

Participants are connected with others who have compatible lifestyles and interests to share a home and provide mutual support for one another. It is up to the Host and Guest to establish how they would like to treat their companion housing relationship, whether it involves weekly dinners together, doing chores, or staying separate while sharing the home.
